Today marks the official day of the second season of my fitness journey. Last season, I focused on losing extra pounds of fat that I kept for several years. Within a year I managed to lose 60lbs and it was a defining moment for me.
This season of fitness has different goals, strategies, and challenges. Taking all the mistakes I found last season, I will have a different approach to how I manage to thrive this year. Sadly, I did not record my progress besides my beginning weight and a few pictures for reference. This season of fitness will feature more pictures, videos documenting my progress, detailed workouts, and much more.
“TOday is more important than yesterday!
Thoughts: Over the next 4 months, I plan on going through my season of fitness by tracking my progress physically and mentally.
Goals: My goal is to build more muscles in my arms, chest, and back, and to reduce my visceral fat until I can see my midsection (six-pack).
Actions: I designed a basic full-body workout for calisthenics on days when I work and also weightlifting on days I am off of work.
Emotions: I am excited and optimistic that I can achieve my goal within the timeframe I set up. I am aware of the past feelings of giving up and I plan on countering those negative feelings with positive feedback through my writing and documenting the entire progress.
Strategy: My strategy for success begins with writing down a few key details every day I work out. By writing down my progress, I can refer back to my starting point and use it as a future reference and resource.
By beginning this journey, it is a stepping stone to my belief in a successful and more thoughtful life. By prioritizing my health, my future self will thank me for the progress that starts today.
